We're Signature Shutters and Shades — a locally owned, family-run window covering company based in Meridian, serving the Boise and Treasure Valley area.
We're Troy and Angela, and between the two of us, we've called the Treasure Valley home for thirty years. We've spent that time in and out of Valley homes — walking through new builds, celebrating with friends on their first home purchase, and learning firsthand what actually makes a house feel finished. Somewhere along the way, we noticed the same thing over and over: the cabinets were custom, the trim was tight, the paint was dialed in — and then the windows got whatever covering was cheapest and fastest to hang.
That gap is exactly why Signature Shutters and Shades exists. We didn't want to run just another window covering company. We wanted to build the kind of shutters and shades we'd actually want in our own home — precisely fit, built to last, and finished like part of the house instead of something hung on top of it. Every detail we've put into this business comes from having stood in that half-finished room ourselves, wishing someone had gotten it right the first time.

Troy spent decades as a building inspector right here in the Valley — and along the way, he fell in love with the craft of getting a home exactly right. That passion, and the deep local connections that came with it, are woven into every install we do today. Angela grew up in the industry herself: her family owned a plantation shutter manufacturing plant, so she's known these products inside and out since childhood. That background shapes the expertise she brings to every consultation, and she leads the customer experience from your first call through the final walkthrough, making sure every step feels personal, not transactional.

We work closely with builders and sales consultants to make the process easy for buyers moving into a new home — and we're just as glad to help existing homeowners update or refresh the window coverings in the homes they're already living in. It doesn't always have to be new construction.
